This policy applies to the YenzyPay mobile application, our website at yenzypay.com, and all related services. By using our Services, you consent to
the practices described in this policy.

We collect only what is necessary to provide and improve our services. Here is what we may collect:
Identity Information
Full name, date of birth, national ID number, passport details (for KYC compliance), selfie/photo for identity
verification.
Contact Information
Phone number, email address, and physical address (where required for merchant accounts or compliance).
Financial Information
Account balance, transaction history, payment methods linked, wallet addresses, transfer recipient information.
Device & Technical Information
Device model, OS version, unique device identifiers, IP address, app version, and crash logs for
troubleshooting.
Location Information
Approximate location derived from IP for fraud prevention. Precise GPS location only if you grant explicit
permission for merchant discovery features.
Communications Data
Messages sent to our support team, feedback submitted, and records of any disputes or complaints.
2. How We Collect Data
We collect your data through the following means:
- Directly from you — when you register, add payment methods, or contact support
- Automatically — through the app as you use features (transaction logs, device info, session
data)
- From third parties — identity verification partners (KYC providers), fraud detection
services, mobile network operators (with your consent)
- From public sources — where required by law for AML/KYC compliance
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data only for legitimate purposes:
- Service delivery: Processing your transactions, maintaining your wallet, and delivering core
features
- Identity verification (KYC): Meeting our legal obligations under financial regulations
- Fraud & security: Detecting and preventing unauthorized access, fraud, and money
laundering
- Customer support: Resolving your issues, answering queries, and improving service quality
- Legal compliance: Meeting obligations under COBAC, BCEAO, and applicable national laws
- Product improvement: Using anonymized analytics to enhance app performance and features
- Communications: Sending transactional notifications, security alerts, and (with consent)
marketing updates
We do not use your data for automated profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects
without your consent.
4. Data Sharing
We never sell your personal data. We share your information only in the following limited

— all bound by strict data processing agreements
- Financial institutions: Banks and mobile money operators involved in processing your
transactions

prevent imminent harm

new entity (you will be notified in advance)
- With your consent: Any other sharing with your explicit, informed authorization
All third-party processors are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the specific
purpose authorized.

While we implement industry-leading security practices, no system is 100% immune to risks. In the event of a data
breach, we will notify affected users within 72 hours and report to relevant authorities as
required by law.
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy:
- Active accounts: Retained for the duration of your account plus 7 years (as required by
financial regulations)
- Transaction records: Minimum 10 years per regulatory requirements
- KYC documents: 5 years after account closure or last transaction
- Support communications: 3 years after case resolution
- Marketing data: Until you withdraw consent or request deletion
7. Cookies & Tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for:

The YenzyPay app does not use third-party advertising cookies. You can manage cookie preferences through your

YenzyPay is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
If we discover that we have inadvertently collected data from a person under 18, we will delete that data
immediately and terminate the associated account.

YenzyPay primarily operates within Africa. If your data needs to be transferred outside your country of residence
(for example, to cloud servers or KYC partners), we ensure such transfers comply with applicable data protection
laws and are protected by appropriate safeguards including contractual data processing agreements.
11. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal
requirements. When we make significant changes, we will:
- Send you an in-app notification and email at least 14 days in advance
- Display a prominent banner on our website and app
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
Your continued use of YenzyPay after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
